Do I need my own permit?
Last updated 13 days ago
Yes. Omni is a technology platform and doesn't hold operating authority, so every driver operates under a permit in their own name. You need one of these:
TCP Partner: an active California charter-party carrier (TCP) permit. You'll take pre-scheduled trips.
Taxi Partner: an active permit from your local taxi licensing authority. You'll take on-demand and scheduled trips.
You don't need both. Choose the lane that matches the permit you already hold.
